Singer Bruno Mars dominate the digital music downloads with two best-selling singles during the year 2011. Track of Mars, 'Just The Way You Are', was ranked one, with sales of 12.5 million copies worldwide last year. Meanwhile, other Mars song entitled 'Grenade' became the second best-selling digital sales, with 10.2 million digital copies sold.
These sales figures issued in the annual digital music report, published the International Federation of Phonographic Industry (IFPI). These data also mentions that music lovers downloaded more digital music than the previous one, with downloaders singles reached 11% and downloaders album as much as 24%.
A total of 3.6 billion paid downloads have been around the world last year.
According to the IFPI, the number of downloaders who pay to register for a digital music service reaches 65% of 13.4 million.
The record company made a profit of 3.3 billion pounds from the sale of digital music. However, piracy remains a problem. As many as 28% of regular Internet users to access music services illegally.
